Hi guys.
It's been a very long time since I last posted and a lot has happened here during the last,very stressful year. I am really pleased to be able to tell you that the garden is about 90% rebuilt now and has survived the crazy dry weather.
We have been working hard, not only to rebuild the garden, but also getting ready for our shepherds hut to arrive. I am going to focus my energy on launching our new glamping venture over the coming months, but do hope to reopen the tea garden once I've found my feet. It might not be every weekend as before, but at least once a month. My gorgeous girls who were my helpers have grown and mostly flown the nest. I will post here to let you know when we will be open again.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to support us at the art trail cafe this weekend. It was a huge success and extremely busy. Apologies to those of you who had to wait a little longer than normal for your order to arrive. We were working our socks off and couldn't physically go any faster.

The art was very well received and it has been fabulous to see Nick Eames working on the final stages of the gull sculpture which will be installed into the flower border once it has been put to bed for the winter, this November.

I am leaving you with this picture of wonderful evening light towards Moel Famau as I sign off for a wee while. I have been working flat out since we opened in May and my Lyme alarm bells are all ringing loud and clear. I have been ignoring them, keen to get to the end of the season. But now it is time for me to recharge my batteries and take a short break. I will almost certainly be opening for the odd weekend throughout the winter, with a few seasonally themed bakes. But, for now it's 'so long folks'.

We are open again this weekend as part of the Clwydian Creatives Art Trail. Come and have a wander around the garden to look at a mixture of sculpture, photography, fine and abstract art and poetry. Then find a lovely place to sit with a hot drink and some home baking.

I have just arranged the jam jars with these beautiful jolly flowers, which I buy from in Northop.

We will be closed for the next 2 weekends whilst we take our gorgeous older two girls to their respective universities.

Open again on 25th /26th September for another Clwydian Creatives Art Trail weekend. It was a huge success last weekend and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make it happen.

Come and visit us and see the meadow. Its a fabulous place to sit and enjoy some tea and cake amidst the buzz of wildlife. The wild carrot is just beautiful at present. We will be opening as part of the Clwydian Art trail on 4th /5th September and 25th /26th September. Hope to see you there.

I absolutely love this view from the birch bed. On a warm, sunny day, the meadow literally buzzes with wildlife. Come and relax here with some yummy baking.

Tomorrow we will have chocolate banana loaf, lemon and blueberry cake and almond butter cookies on offer.

We are having some much needed family holiday time at home. Supposed to be at a family wedding in Tuscany. Sad times. So we will be closed folks on Sunday 11th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July.

The sun is shining, the campfire is lit and we have orange & lemon cake, Mars bar krispie slices, and for those of you on veganuary, there are chocolate chunk & macadamia cookies.

Happy New year folks. I am planning to open this weekend, weather permitting. We will be lighting the campfire, so if you are walking nearby, drop in for a hot drink and some cake. We'd love to see you.

Looks like autumn is over and winter is on its way. Snow and sleet forecast all day tomorrow so will only be opening on Sunday when we will be lighting the campfire.

The rain has set in and is forecast until the end of Saturday. We will be open on Sunday and Monday when the sun is due to shine instead of our normal hours.

Today we are serving bacon butties to fuel you up the mountain, or a bowl of slow roast ratatouille as a gluten free/vegan option. If sweet treats are more your thing, we have a new pudding of raspberries and sweet mascarpone in a chocolate crust, as well as banana blueberry muffins and homemade granola bars.

The sun is shining and we are open today. Giant chocolate chip cookies, ginger loaf and pear upside down cake are today's bakes. Also offering immune boosting hot chocolate and a heart healthy chocolate shake.
