We’ve always been complete suckers for a cute pup here at The Black Bull Inn, but it’s been a while since we met one as adorable as Benji - an eight week old St Bernard who visited recently, before heading across the Irish Sea to start life with his new family.
Benji’s humans broke up their trip with an overnight stay before heading home to Ireland. They’d been to collect new addition, Benji from the breeder and were looking forward to being a family together.
How lucky they are to have him - gorgeous from the get go, he was relaxed, unphased, placid and simply one of the sweetest pups we’ve met…
He simply chilled out on the seat while his family enjoyed a Sunday roast, attracting gasps and adoration from everyone who spotted him!
What a charmer…❤️
In fact, Benji was so content, you’d be forgiven for thinking he’d been with his family since birth…and not just a few hours!
Meeting Benji made our day, but this happens to us often.
When you work somewhere as dog friendly as The Black Bull, falling in love with canine customers is par for the course. We get to meet some marvellous mutts who come back to see us again and again..
With this in mind we are hoping one day - when he’s a much bigger St Bernard - we will get to meet the beautiful Benji again.
