Morning Crafters,

With less than a month before we close, we are starting to list the larger items in the shop for sale. This will include the spinning DMC embroidery thread stand, Gutermann cotton box and even our trusty till!

Firstly, I’m listing this solid computer desk. I wish I had space at home for it. Please see link below for photos and dimensions.

We also have a number of acrylic leaflet holders and display stands which are ideal for anyone looking to attend craft fayres etc. If you’re interested in seeing these, just pop in and ask (we have too many to put them all out).

Hospitality businesses all over the UK are struggling, mine included.
20% of anything we make goes straight into the governments coffers, and with rising food costs (over 30% of income goes on ingredients), fuel and staff costs, it’s never been tougher.
We are a small business delivering good work, education, supporting local suppliers, providing work for young people, doing everything possible to adhere to piles of regulations.
But 1/5th of every £1 earned goes to the government and for what 🤷🏻‍♀️?
The rest of Europe pays on average 10% VAT…

Harts Barn Craft Centre has a wide variety of small, independent businesses - most of whom are taking part in the official UK Small Business Week that is taking place from now until 7th June. The small businesses of this country are the backbone of the economy, so shop small, shop local and support your independents not just this week but as often as you can!

Businesses here onsite include the Old Dairy Tearoom , The Mystical Cat, Leap Holistic Therapies , Leap HR Consultancy Services Miscellany and Quirk Vintage and Collectables , Crafty Upcycling , The Lavender Stone Florist , Holistic Health Massage & Massage Trainer , Release Holistics , Heavenly Head Massage , Bridie Thorne Hairdressing, Harts Barn Cookery School , The Forest Larder, Broadlands Pottery , Creative Needles, Riverwood - Artisan Bridalwear , Wye Creative and Anna Cole Beauty with many of our retail stores also supporting a wide variety of local crafters. In addition to those listed there are also a few other offices and services that enjoy our amazing and beautiful location here in the Forest of Dean.

Broadlands Pottery are running a Paint your own Bunting workshop in their shop at Harts Barn on Friday the 29th May.
This is a booking only event so if you are interested please get in touch with them to register your interest.
All materials will be provided and you are sure to have a lovely couple of hours being creative,

Our very first Bunting Workshop is booked for Friday 29th of May, you will have 5 handmade ceramic triangles to paint exactly how you wish.

To manage numbers this is going to be a pre-booking event so if you are interested in either a 10am, 12pm or 2pm slot please message us and we will get you booked in.

We are putting together lots of suggestions and will guide you through creating what will be a lovely piece for you to treasure.
