We just had our 1st visit from the Environmental Health Officer and we’re delighted to announce, we passed with flying colours, not that there was ever any doubt! 😬
She couldn’t have been more helpful! She’s sending our certificate on as it needed a small name change, this will be displayed along with all of our Food Safety Certificates.
I asked about Food Hygiene ratings that are used in England and she said they don’t do it in Scotland but if we did, The Clubhouse would easily achieve a 5 ❤️
We work really hard to uphold high standards for the food preparation and presentation, and keeping an orderly and clean kitchen and we’re just over the moon that the EHO recognised that and complimented us to that effect also!
Reading between the lines, she might as well have said you could eat your dinner off the floor 🤣
(If you’re reading this Mrs EHO, sorry, I know you didn’t say that, just chuffed to bits that there were no areas of concern and that we’re doing everything right!) x
Official certificate to follow soon but in the meantime “If we did food hygiene ratings, you’d easily achieve a 5*” is my favourite sentence of the day ❤️
We blitzed the kitchen before we opened and we’ve bought new equipment and had new electrics installed and Millport Golf Club also supported us by investing in upgrades to the kitchen appliances! From the minute we opened the doors on 3rd April, we have always been confident that we were providing a compliant food service to all our customers and thanks to our Environmental Health assessment, you can also rest assured that we are ship shape and that we meet and exceed the requirements outlined by EH as the governing body ❤️
