Since sharing my last post, the messages, comments, and kind words I’ve received have genuinely meant a lot. It really shows just how special this place is, not just as a coffee shop, but as a proper community where people look out for each other.

It’s easy to say “thank you,” but it’s hard to fully put into words just how much the support, conversations, and everyday moments have meant to me over my time here. Whether it was a quick chat at the counter, a laugh to start the day, or just seeing familiar faces walk through the door, it all added up to something I’ll never forget.

The Barista Bar has never just been about coffee, it’s about the people, and I feel lucky to have been part of that. You’ve all played a part in making it what it is, and I’ve been proud to serve you, chat with you, and be part of your daily routines.

As I head into this next chapter, I’ll take a lot of great memories with me, and I’ll always look back on my time here with a smile.

Thank you again for everything — it’s truly appreciated more than you know 💙

I just wanted to share that I’ll be moving on from The Barista Bar.

This place has always been more than just somewhere to grab a coffee it’s been a proper little community, and one I’ve been proud to be part of. From the moment the doors open to the last orders of the day, it’s the people who walk through that door that have made it what it is.

To our daily regulars, the ones who are there every morning and have become part of the routine thank you. You’ve brought consistency, laughter, and a real sense of familiarity that makes this place feel like home. The conversations, the banter, and even the simple “see you tomorrow” have meant more than you probably realise.

And to those who come in every now and then, whether it’s for a catch-up, a quick coffee, or just passing through thank you for always bringing a smile and such a positive energy with you. Every visit, no matter how often, has helped shape the atmosphere and spirit of the place.

Over my time here, I’ve had the chance to meet so many great people, hear so many stories, and share so many moments it’s something I’ll always be grateful for. It’s those small, everyday interactions that have made this experience so special and something I’ll carry with me moving forward.

Thank you all for the support, the kindness, and for being part of the journey. The Barista Bar wouldn’t be what it is without each and every one of you, and I feel lucky to have been a part of it.

This isn’t a goodbye, just moving on to a new chapter and I’ll always look back on my time here with a lot of appreciation and respect for the community we’ve built together 💙

Tomorrow, our community comes together to say goodbye to La’al Don. A familiar face and a truly valued part of Millom.

At The Barista Bar Millom, we know how much Don meant to so many, and we feel proud to have shared so many moments with him in the shop. He wasn’t just a customer, he was part of our Barista Bar family.

Out of respect, we will be closed for the duration of the funeral as we join the community in paying our respects.

We send our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Don’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time and with everyone in the community who knew and loved him.

Sleep well, Don. You’ll be missed by us all. 💛

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know why we had to close a little earlier today. Unfortunately I became unwell while at work and suffered a seizure, so I had to close up earlier than planned so I could get the treatment that is required.

I’d also like to say a big thank you to the customers who helped and checked on me when it happened. Your kindness and support really meant a lot in that moment and I’m very grateful to be part of such a caring community.

Because of this, the Barista Bar will also be closed tomorrow while I take a bit of time to recover properly.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support of the Barista Bar. I’ll keep everyone updated, so please keep an eye on the page for any further details and updates.

Morning everyone. Unfortunately due to my own medical issues and not feeling very well, the Barista Bar will be closed tomorrow (Monday morning).

I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and I appreciate everyone’s understanding. Thank you as always for the continued support from our lovely customers and the local community — it really does mean a lot.

Hopefully I’ll be back behind the counter and serving you all again very soon. ☕

Just a quick message to say I’ve been a bit under the weather today, so things may have been a little slower than usual at The Barista Bar Millom.

A big thank you to Mel, Betsy, Curtis and Lucy for helping me out and keeping things going until I was able to close up for the day I really appreciate it.

And thank you to all our lovely customers for your patience and support. It means a lot to have such a great community around us ☕💜

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our most valued and well-loved customers, Don Roebuck.

Don was a familiar face here at The Barista Bar, Millom, and someone many of us looked forward to seeing. He was always up for a chat and brought a warmth and friendliness that made the place feel even more like a community. He wasn’t just a customer to us he was part of the Barista Bar family.

Don will be greatly missed by all the staff and customers who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.

Rest in peace, Don. 💙
