Good evening!

Well today I've made an absolute belter of a cake! Let's just say... it's a 'sunglasses required' cake! I absolutely love it & can't wait to post it. It's an extra deep, 8 inch cake which I haven't made for an eternity!

I also made a 'spotty' smash cake today, it's the cutest little thing! It's to go with a two tier 'Miss Rachel' cake that I will make tomorrow. Last night I handmade all the fondant decorations which took me hours which will go on the cake - a rainbow, a duck, oversized flowers, daisies, bows, polka dot spots & a ring stacker. All in pink, lemon, lilac & navy.

I will post everything in the coming days!

I'm then due to quieten down. Thank you for helping with interacting on my social media - as a result my September is now full. I'm trying to cap each week at three orders going forward - as much as I love baking & creating, it is hard work! I have a space left the last week of September.

What themes are coming up?

Pokemon, Girls Sport, Football, Under the Sea, Frozen, Toy Story, Mickey Funhouse, Rodeo & there's a few more which I can't remember without my diary!

Albie also had a Teletubbies cake from me when he turned 1️⃣ & Harrison is booked in for a Spider-Man cake when he turns 4️⃣!

Luxury Coffee Cupcakes packed with walnuts, topped with the silkiest coffee cream swirls & finished with smashed walnuts/white kinder bueno.

One box for my parent's wedding anniversary - 51 years, & the other box for my aunty & uncle's wedding anniversary - 41 years!

The aroma of these when my mum opened the box today was mouth watering & reminded the both of us about my late grandmother's coffee cake which I used to love very much.

Disney's Moana! Set in ancient Polynesia, the film follows Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a village chief, who is chosen by the ocean to restore a mystical relic to the goddess Te Fiti. When a blight threatens her island, she sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in hopes of saving her people. I love how this cake has all come together - when I was contacted by the customer I knew it was a busy period for me, but when I heard about the design & theme I couldn't resist! Every little girl's dream cake! 🌊🐚☀️

Good morning - please take a moment to read

I'm feeling concerned about the engagement on my page. I have regular peaks & troughs, but the support once again has left me.

I don't know what to do. My skill set has been perfected, my designs are original, the quality & taste of my bakes are excellent, I go above & beyond and I'm extremely reliable, professional & generous. I follow all the rules & do everything right.

I'm consistently present on social media, trying to come up with content that you may like to see. More recently I've talked about my personal life & social life which seems to grab attention. But I'd rather my cakes get the attention.

I had such a long list in my head of people who would always engage, support & encourage me but I don't know where they have gone. I realise it's the summer holidays but that doesn't explain the dramatic fallout in support.

All I can kindly ask is if you see my posts (you may see a cake, but behind that cake is hard work, tears, stress, a business trying to keep going & a woman trying her best), don't scroll by, stop for a minute to say hello, like, comment or recommend. I love to see different names appear in my notifications.

Business has been thriving, to be fair, but self employment is lonely and like anyone else would feel, it feels nice to be appreciated & know I'm not creating content for nothing. Even though I've been busy, my order book is quite empty going forward into September.

Thank you to everyone who does support me, whether that be consistently, from time to time, a quick message or in the street - I appreciate you so much.

Most of my 'friends' I don't rely on, 'family' either, I'd like to rely on people who I've made happy through my cakes & my business The Sweet Frosting Bakehouse
