Can anyone help us with our Google listing? 🙏

We’re getting ready to reopen the Stag & Hounds, but getting our Google details updated is proving a challenge!

After over two years of closure, the pub’s old telephone number is no longer active. We’ve tried everything we can to recover this historic number, but without success. We have a new number ready, yet Google is asking us to verify the listing through the old one.

We need to update our opening hours, website and contact details so customers can find the right information and book online.

Has anyone dealt with this before, or knows someone who could help? Please drop us a message or tag them below. We’d really appreciate it!

What a day at the Stag & Hounds!

Our amazing new sign is up, and just look at that craftsmanship! A huge thank you to Roll and Scroll the care, skill and attention to detail deserve a proper shout-out. We’re proud to have your work hanging above our door!

A lorry full of stock from Small B**r has arrived too, and Lewin,one of our manager, is a happy man… now he just needs to find a home for it all!

It’s all coming together, and days like this make the hard work worthwhile. We can’t wait to welcome you all!

“Let’s reopen a pub… how hard can it be?”

Our second-hand cooker turned out to be an expensive lesson, so in came a brand-new one. Then yesterday, we found out the extraction canopy wasn’t up to the job either. You couldn’t make it up!

Our lovely landlords keep telling us, “Don’t stress, we’ll sort it.” And together, that’s exactly what we’re doing. A new canopy is being fitted to give our team a safe, properly equipped kitchen.

This trade takes resilience, good people and a sense of humour — luckily, we’ve still got all three!

We could write a book about getting the Stag & Hounds open. For now, we’d rather share the stories over a pint.

Still opening 1st October at 5.30pm — we might just need a drink ourselves!

Coffee machine installed! Now we’re looking for someone to help get the Stag & Hounds looking its best each morning.

Come in, switch the coffee machine on and, while it warms up, get started on the cleaning and tidying with a coffee or tea to enjoy along the way!

It’s one of the most important jobs of the day: making our pub clean, welcoming and ready for our customers.

We’re looking for a morning cleaner for around an hour and a half a day, Tuesday to Sunday. Ideally, someone who can cover all six mornings, but we’re happy to share the days between two people if that suits.

If you take pride in keeping things lovely and clean, we’d really appreciate your help. Please message us to chat about the job, pay and timingsor pass this on to someone who might be interested.

The Stag & Hounds opens on 1st October, from 5.30pm onwards!

My wife Rani and I would love you to join us for our opening night, with complimentary drinks and nibbles on us to celebrate.

For those we haven’t met yet, we’re Kumar and Rani from Berkeley Arms, Wymondham. We’re so excited to welcome you, introduce you to our colleagues and get to know you all.

There’s still more we’d like to do, and we’ll carry on making improvements as we go. But this beautiful pub has already been closed for over two years, and we don’t want our locals to wait any longer to enjoy their village pub again.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement. Come along, say hello and raise a glass with us—we can’t wait to open the doors!

We’ve got plenty of spare glasses, and a bottle fridge as well and we’d love to see them put to good use.

Can anyone local help with a rubbish clearance at the Stag & Hounds, Burrough on the Hill, please?

We have old pallets, timber, dismantled units and other refurbishment waste that needs clearing as soon as possible as we get ready to reopen.
