Here we go again for another amazing music weekend at your award winning pub!!

One of the Captain Nelson favourites Lee Adams is back this Friday at 8pm!! Who knew all those nursery rhymes you sang in your youth would one day come in handy for a night out in your favourite pub? We never quite know what Lee’s going to sing next, and to be fair neither does he 🙈 but that’s exactly why we love him 🤣🎸🎤.

Emma Dockeray is back on Saturday 11th at 8pm and we can’t wait!! She brings her acoustic guitar, a brilliant mix of songs and effortless style, she’s always a pleasure to have here 🎸🎤.

The draught, cask, wines, spirits and mixers as always are outstanding, the atmosphere is electric and the vibes are good. What more could you want from your favourite pub 🍻.

A firm Captain Nelson favourite, Jamie Williams - Musician is back!! Expect a brilliant mix of songs and banter, always a great night when he’s here 🎤🎸🎶.

SATURDAY 3RD OCTOBER 8PM
We’re really excited to welcome Alex De Freitas to the Captain Nelson stage for the very first time.
We’ve heard great things and can’t wait to see him in action!! Come down and show him some Maryport love 🎤🎸🎶.

As always It’s a weekend not to be missed here. The draught, cask, wines, spirits and mixers as always are outstanding, the atmosphere is electric and the vibes are good. It’s a Captain Nelson thing 😏.

Well this is definitely a quieter Monday compared to this time last week.

We can’t thank our amazing friends and supplier enough for the hospitality, you guys definitely know how to party (and we thought we did) Safe to say, we seriously need to up our game 🙈.

I mean come on who wouldn’t be this excited getting to see live?! What a set it was, genuinely one of the best DJ sets we’ve ever seen 🔥🎧 🎶.

A huge thank you to our friends at Underscar W**ery in Keswick for the most amazing morning grape picking 🍇.

W**e has always been a real passion of ours at the Captain Nelson. We love discovering great wines, learning the stories behind them and most importantly, being able to share those discoveries with our wonderful customers. Having the opportunity to actually get involved in a harvest right here in Cumbria was pretty special.

We still can’t quite believe that grapes are being grown in Cumbria (and successfully too)!! What they’re creating at Underscar is genuinely incredible.

There’s something about being told ‘you can’t grow grapes in Cumbria’ that seems to create even more determination to prove that actually, you absolutely can. That really resonates with us at the Captain Nelson. We’ve always believed in doing things a little differently, pushing boundaries and bringing things to Maryport that perhaps people wouldn’t necessarily expect to find in a pub here.

Spending the morning with people who share that same passion and determination was inspiring.

Thank you for letting the Captain Nelson be a tiny part of this year’s harvest, we absolutely loved it!!

And this might not be the end of the Captain Nelson × Underscar story either…

It’s back!! Oktoberfest is coming to the Captain Nelson this weekend 🍻🇩🇪.

Dust off your Lederhosen’s (free pint for the best dressed) and join us 25th & 26th September as we bring a little taste of Bavaria to Maryport!

We’ll have German beers (Pilsner and Helles), a new l***r on draught pouring for a limited time 🤫, 2-pint steins, live music Friday and Saturday and all the Oktoberfest atmosphere you’d expect.
