🐟 National Fish and Chip Day is Friday 2nd June 2023

🐟 The first fish and chip shop in England opened in 1860

🐟 By 1910, there were 25,000 fish and chip shops in the U.K.

🐟 During the Second World War Winston
Churchill recognised the crucial role of fish and chips, referring to them as 'good companions'.
Fish and chips were two of the few foods not subject to rationing because the government feared the dish was so embedded in the nation's culture that any limit would damage morale

🐟 Fish and chips played a part in the D-Day Landings - British soldiers identified each other by crying out 'fish' and waiting for the response of 'chips’!!

Mr chips would like to take this opportunity to thank all my customers new and old , to personally thank you all , we don’t get it right all the time , but I promise if we don’t I will always sort it out for you if you let me or the shop know , we’re not perfect , but I promise we do try are very best to bring you the best fish and chips in town , even thou we have had a very busy week with it being good Friday , we have still had some fantastic feedback on line and thur goggle and trip advisor , anybody who knows mr personally will know the effort I go thur to give great food fantastic customer service and all a smile and chat :) 😘🐟🍟❤️
