🏃‍♂️💙 What a sight in Market Weighton today! 💙🏃‍♂️

It was fantastic to see Sir Kevin Sinfield and Sir Gareth Southgate running through Market Weighton as part of Kevin’s incredible 7 in 7: The Grand Finale challenge.

Kevin is taking on the enormous task of completing an ultra-marathon every day for seven consecutive days, travelling between all 12 English Super League grounds before finishing at Old Trafford on Saturday 3rd October. Each day is broken down into 7km sections, with the team also taking part in an ‘Extra Mile’ alongside people affected by motor neurone disease.

Today’s opening stage started at Hull KR before passing through Hull FC and heading towards Market Weighton, with Sir Gareth Southgate joining Kevin and the team for part of the run.

Kevin’s incredible fundraising journey has been inspired by his late friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, and since 2020 Kevin and his team have raised more than £11 million for the MND community. This final challenge is supporting six charities working with people affected by MND.

📸 Credit to the original photographer of this photo, and the perfect backdrop of The Griffin! 🫶

From everyone here at The Griffin, we’d like to wish Kevin, Gareth and the whole team the very best of luck for the rest of this incredible journey. 👏

What an effort, what a cause and what an inspiration. ❤️

Good luck, Kev — keep going! 💪🏃‍♂️
