** The Last Hurrah **

Well, its been amazing. Sadly today is our last day of trading. We will be open from 3pm, until late. A few of the stalwarts have done a cracking job in denting the beer this week. Now its your turn!

** When its gone, its gone **

If you do get chance to pop in and say goodbye, then please do. Its a bit of a cliche, but we have made friends for life.

Far too many to mention.

We will miss Liz and her Wednesday lunch club, Steve Carpenter and Dotty every Friday evening, we will miss Darren, Murph and Nina bickering at the bar, with Tim & Digby playing referee. We will miss Lamby popping in for a quiet one after work and then Nathan, Charlotte, George, Emma, Tim, Molly, Liv, Nes & Jamie, TK & Greer stopping him from leaving. We will miss Beth and Jeremy popping in with Harry & Poppy and thier amazing crowd of friends. We will miss Mark, Marie and our friend Alfie. We'll miss Mags & John turning up to every single event we do. We will miss Giles and his lovely wife Sandra, who have eaten with us every single Friday lunch time since they moved here. We will miss Stephen and Anne Woodgate, who were a massive support for Sophie when she really needed it. We will miss the group of young lads who came and played darts on a cold wet Tuesday night.

All of you, each and everyone of you, we will miss you all.

Tim our quiz host and friend. Our Santa, our therapist, our everything.

Our fantastic skittles team, led by Rob and Richard. Every single pub in the world needs a Rob and Richard. They have helped immensely with just about everything from day one. Richard has done a fantastic job in helping us keep the outside area looking so amazing. We can't thank him enough.

This doesn't even scratch the surface. There are so many of you.

Please please please support the next people as much as you've supported us.

We won't call it a party, as most of you did that last weekend 😬 but there will be drinks, there will be music, there will be laughter, and lots and lots of love.

So, the show goes on. Tonight, not only do we celebrate everything that's happened over the last few years, we get a chance to say goodbye for now!

We are still open next week, and we will let you know a date as soon as we do!

We have all sat and read every message, comment, and had some lovely words last night from some special people, thank you x

**Customer announcement**

This one's tough. We tried, and we just can't keep doing it. Our time here will shortly come to an end. Near enough 2 years to the day of opening the doors at The Bulls Head, we are now having to step away.

Our last food service will be the 21st June. We will be contacting any future bookings over the weekend.

We invite you to join us over the weekend, and especially tomorrow evening as our party will still go ahead. It would be nice to see as many of you as possible to say goodbye to.

Its simple. The costs are now just too high. I have never spouted any political views about running a business, and won't start now, I also never believed that we'd become a statistic, but the reality is, its just not financially viable anymore. Energy has increased, our rent has increased, the price of the beer is nothing short of ridiculous, the minimum wage increased significantly, NI contributions...just everything.

We have tried and tried to find a solution.

- We put our prices up in line with the increase from our brewery, and it hurt your pockets.
- We changed our menu to make it affordable for everyone.
- We held live music events. Quiz nights, open mic nights. All of which have been extremely quieter than they used to be.

In general, we were far from quiet, and the numbers still didn't add up.

We have ran out of options, and it hurts us just as much as it hurts you.

We are sorry that there isn't more notice, we needed to let our team know before anyone else.

Tim, your amazing quiz host, will hold on to the quiz funds, and the world cup sweepstake money, and will divide it out appropriately.

We thank our wonderful team. We have had some amazing staff, and backing from them. They have been amazing, and I hope that they continue to thrive in whatever they do next.

And then there's you, you know who you are. The ones who really did support us, the ones who came in as often as they could. For the live music, on a cold Wednesday night, having Sunday lunch with us, our Wednesday lunch club, our Friday afternoon couple who were here every week, our daily crowd of drinkers, our weekend drinkers, you all know who you are. We will miss you.

We will of course assist the brewery to get someone in as soon as possible, and ask for you to come and see us, ask us, don't be wondering, or gossiping, just come and see us.

Clipston and the amazing people of it, will always hold a special place in our hearts ❤️

Tonight is a rehearsal for the FIFA World Cup. Join us to watch England's first friendly!

Tuesday 9th - Tim's Quiz is back! Usual antics, its £1 per person to play, there will be food available from 7pm, and there will be snacks on your table! Our numbers dipped last month, so if you need an incentive to get our on a Tuesday evening, WE ARE DOUBLING THE PRIZE POT! So if there's 50 of you playing, the winning team will win £100! 🥳

Saturday 13th June - Its the Clipston music festival! We are unfortunately not serving food on that day, but we will be at the Festival with our amazing team, serving you from the BBQ!

Saturday 20th - Please come and help us celebrate our 2nd year here at The Bulls Head - Clipston. It's party time. We provide the food, we provide the Karaoke, you just need to bring the atmosphere!!

Sunday 21st - Fathers Day Lunch - Bring your Dad for dinner and he will get a pint on us! Limited space available.

We will be showing as much of the world cup as possible, on the big screen. So come and join us!
