Barn Lane Chippy - Mansfield

16/10/2026

Happy Friday people!! 💚🐟🍟

We’ve been that busy in the shop that we completely forgot our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY last week! 🤦🏽‍♂️😂🎉

What an incredible year it’s been! 💪🏽

We know we’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but honestly, the shop just hasn’t stopped! 😂

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support us. The response to our traditional fish & chips cooked in premium beef dripping has been absolutely incredible! 🐟🔥

One year on, Mansfield’s only beef dripping chippy is still going strong, and we couldn’t do it without you lot! 💚

Here’s to another year of madness! 😝🍟

Can’t believe this video was posted back in June and it’s STILL getting likes! Gman The Foodman certainly got people talking about Barn Lane! 🐟🍟

But we’ve got a question…

Who thinks we need to get Gman The Foodman back down to try one of our secret special kebabs? 👀🥙

Believe us when we say it’s SPECIAL… 🤤🔥😂

What do we reckon Gman The Foodman… round 2? 👀💪🏽

Who’s ready for cosy season? 🍂🍟

There’s just something about a proper traditional fish & chips when the colder days start creeping in… especially when it’s cooked in beef dripping! 🤤🔥

We’ve been up early prepping and getting ready for another manic weekend at Barn Lane…

Can’t even complain though, we lowkey love the madness 😝💪🏽💚

Just a little heads up for tonight!

We’re slightly short staffed this evening, so please bear with us during the busier periods. 🙏🏽

The team will be working as hard and as quickly as possible to get everyone served and your food out fresh! 💪🏽💪🏽

Thanks as always for your patience and continued support. We really appreciate it! 💚

📞 Finally… our phone line is back up and running!

Please only use the phone line if you have an issue or genuinely need to speak to us. With how busy the shop gets, taking food orders over the phone is extremely difficult and takes a member of staff away from serving customers.

For orders, please either:

🌐 Pre order through www.barnlanechippy.co.uk
🚶🏽 Simply walk in and order as normal

You can pre order online at any time of the day, choose your collection time and pay online. Nice and easy! 🍟💚

Thanks for understanding and helping us keep things running smoothly! 💪🏽

😂 Right guys… we need to clear something up about the buzzers!

Some of you seem a little scared of them or aren’t quite sure what they actually do 🤦🏽‍♂️😂

We promise there are no listening devices, trackers or anything else hiding inside them! 😂

If we hand you a buzzer, simply take it with you, sit comfortably in your car and wait. As soon as your food is ready, it’ll buzz. That’s it! 💪🏽🍟

We’ve tested them numerous times and at different distances, so trust us… they work!

They simply help us manage waiting times during busy periods and, with limited space at the front of the shop, stop everyone having to stand around waiting.

Especially with the colder weather coming… take the buzzer, get back in the warm and leave the rest to us! 🚗🍟💚

Always trying to make things that little bit easier for our customers! 💚🍟

We’ve now introduced customer buzzers to help during our busiest periods! 🙌🏽

With autumn and winter just around the corner, there’s no need to stand outside waiting in the cold. Place your order, take a buzzer and sit in the comfort of your own car. 🚗

As soon as it goes off, simply pop back in and your food will be bagged up and ready to go! 🐟🍟

It’s only a small change, but we genuinely appreciate every single person who chooses to spend their hard earned money with us, so we’ll always try to go that extra mile. 💚

Although judging by the queues lately… we might need another 40 buzzers 😂😂

🐟 It all starts with the quality of the fish…

Our haddock & cod is sourced fresh daily from Grimsby, and we’re very particular about the quality we serve.

It’s been a tough week on the fish market, with good quality fish harder to get hold of… but nevertheless, we’ve still managed to secure the best! 💪🏽🐟

Fresh, top quality fish, ready to be fried in premium beef dripping. 🔥🍟💚
