We are at our very first wedding fair today.
Odd fellows in Bruntwood park.

Here till 2 so you'd better get your skates on.

Then next weekend it's First street and Layland festival both Saturday.

Next it's on to Didsbury festival Saturday then Congleton food and drink Sunday!

I've heard a rumour that I'll be doing chocolate Soft serve on Sunday as well.

Salford Quays today and tomorrow, got some absolutely amazing traders here today already tried some beeswax hand cream from helping my padels get nice and soft after ten thousand hours or so of washing up!
Lots of other treats as well, you'll have to come down and take a look!

Next weekend were off to Salford Quays Saturday and Sunday then outside Manchester Cathedral on Monday.

Manchester Jazz festival this weekend-
Friday, Saturday and Sunday on First street outside pizza express/home cinema.

Now the time line so far

February 2024-
had a dream is was eating an éclair filled with tiramisu soft scoop.

March 2024-
bought soft serve machine

Summer 2024 -
almost no events I was booked onto provided electric so unable to use soft serve machine

2024-2025 -
worked on soft serve recipies,

Summer 2025-
Very few events I was booked onto offer electricity, realise soft scoop machine is way to big and heavy to move alone.

August 2025-
debuted tiramisu soft serve and vegan chocolate soft serve swirl at Bolton Food festival. Didn't manage to make choux pastry as ran out of time.

September 2025-
Started studying patisserie at Manchester collage

November 2025-
Received a distinction for my choux pastry synoptic

May 2026-
Jazz festival will provide electric, best part of a week to work on my choux pastry.
....

Will I achieve my literal dream?

Will I be cold and empty inside if I do?

My plan is to make 12l of chocolate and 12 l of tiramisu then as many éclairs and profiteroles as I can.

Fresh off my pastry course I was keen to get in the kitchen and make some tarts to see if I'd learnt anything, and I think it might be my best pastry yet!
Combined with real ground almonds butter and marzipan (for some reason) its a real treat..... oh and thats just the pieces in it.
The gelato is another improved recipie with noodles more fresh raspberry puree almond essence and real cream.

Delicious!

I mean obviously it isn't tomorrow.

Celebrate this year in a new month and a new venue!

Its completely crept up on me but then again it is a month or two early.
