England are playing against Ghana in the World Cup at 9pm tonight, and we’re extending our opening time until 10pm to show the first half of the match! For every goal that England scores, we’ll be celebrating with a FREE half-pint of Hopside for everyone watching the match with us!

If enough people join us tonight and express an interest in watching more games here at the Taphouse, we’ll get extended licences to stay open later to enjoy the full match next time! So, join us today 4pm-10pm, and cross your fingers for free beers - er, we mean, COME ON ENGLAND!

✨IT’S THE WEEKEND✨

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Saturday Scran this weekend has been cancelled. But that doesn’t mean there’s no fun to be had! The weather forecast is looking bright, so come and enjoy a pint in our outside space - it’s a real sun trap and a great spot to have a rest from the hustle and bustle.

On Sunday, we’re playing Higher Or Lower at the weekly music quiz. Each team can have a go for an extra chance at winning a prize! Quiz is free entry, and kicks off at 7pm.

PLUS! On Tuesday, we’ll be showing the first half of the England match. Why just the first half? Well, because it runs past our licence and we can’t extend it this week. HOWEVER, if you want to watch the football in the Taphouse, join us on Tuesday and tell us we need to get the right permissions sorted in time for the next match!

It’s quiz night once again, so gather your team and come and have a go at winning some beer! We start at 7pm, and the quiz is free entry!

We’re also sorry to share that this weeks Saturday Scran vendor has had to drop out. We’re on a rapid hunt for a replacement, and will keep you informed if we can find something!

It’s Open Mic Night!

The bar is open from 4pm, and open mic kicks off at 7pm! Everyone is welcome to come down and have a go. Whether you’re bringing a guitar, a mandolin, bagpipes, or your voice, there’s a free drink and enthusiastic support in it for all performers.

So, are you coming down to shine on stage, or be part of the hype team? The more the merrier, all are welcome!
