Some more great news from the CBS team!

🌟 WE HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 🌟

We have some fantastic news to share today… our application to the Scottish Land Fund was successful!

The CBS has been awarded £508,000 to support the purchase and redevelopment of the pub. Within the grant, £380,000 is assigned to support acquisition costs of the pub, and the remainder is assigned to: land & building tax, legal and conveyancing costs, insurance, setup (IT/office), essential repairs, and employment of a project officer.

So where does that put us now? Well, The Old Forge is on the market for offers over £425,000, but that figure does not include the owner’s asking price for goodwill of the business. We are currently working with the owner to undertake an independent valuation of the goodwill, and once this has taken place we will be able to assess and submit an appropriate offer.

We’ll be celebrating this huge milestone at The Table tonight – please come along and join us if you can!

You didn't think we'd be outdone by any virus did you.?! We enjoyed a Virtual Table night last night, having a wee drink in each others company whilst observing social distancing! Great to catch up with various pals near and far during the course of the night 😊❤️
