Here's a glimpse into our world...
When a customer steps into our world, those few moments are born from a fire of dedication and passion. In that brief encounter, we pour our heart and soul into providing more than just a service—we create an experience tailored uniquely for each person. Behind every smile, every perfect scoop, lies a relentless effort, mastery, and unwavering commitment. In that instant, our customer receives exactly what they longed for—yet that moment is only the tip of the iceberg.
Have you ever stopped to wonder what powers that moment when you come to the van? What begins long before the first smile at the counter? We are the heartbeat of every single part of our business—every department, everything behind the scenes. The hours we pour in— unpaid, unrecognised —are a testament to our unwavering dedication and relentless passion.
Our bodies ache with exhaustion before dawn, muscles protesting after yet another demanding 16 hour or more day. There are no complete days off—no pause button—as we tirelessly keep going, 7 days a week. Endless emails, relentless phone calls, piles of paperwork and files dominate our lives. Constantly cleaning both premises and vans, brainstorm new ideas. We organise orders, ingredients, and stock with precision. We test and deliver products, handle finance and bookkeeping, stock runs, craft our ice cream with love, and keep our social media alive with fresh ideas. We repair and maintain our machinery, navigate regulations and licensing, everything with a fierce determination. The mental load alone could break us—remembering details, planning futures, managing the chaos.
More often than not, business owners such as ourselves go without breakfast, without lunch. Our first bit of food can often be in the evening when we are too tired to even cook.
Then comes the moment we’ve been waiting for: stepping out for a full day of work to sell our product, being pulled pillar to post, driving miles with exhaustion gnawing at us, pushing our minds and bodies relentlessly. Attending events and keeping up with the demands.
That day begins long before the first customer arrives. Often we've done a day's work before we even think about selling an ice cream!
What do you see? A warm, inviting face, a joyful greeting, a delicious ice cream—the perfect moment. But behind that counter stands someone whose body screams in fatigue, whose spirit relentlessly perseveres because they care deeply. They refuse to let the service falter, because you are their purpose, their passion.
Will they keep going? Absolutely. Because at the heart of it all, this work is fueled by love and gratitude. When our customer leaves, we don’t just say thank you with words; we pour our genuine appreciation into that parting gesture. Knowing that you chose us, that your presence makes all the sacrifice worthwhile—that is the true reward, the fire that keeps us creating, serving, and dreaming beyond exhaustion.
What we do is not easy, it isn't all sunshine and Sprinkles. It is hard. It is long. It is challenging.
Do we love it? Yes we do. We will always be here for our community providing the excellent ice cream service you deserve!
