A Friend sent me an email asking for a favour. I replied saying of course. He emailed back saying he was away on holiday and needed to purchase a gift for he friend who had cancer and he would pay me later. It was sent fr5om his email so beware if you get a letter as your friend has had his email hacked.

The Cafe will be closing for good after the Santa charity match this Sunday 6th Nov. We have all tried hard to keep it running not just for the fishing fraternity, but local trade. It never really recovered from the Covid period. Even on a Sunday when we have up to 60 anglers here at Pondwood, there is a small number that will have a breakfast and not enough to cover costs. Sorry for any inconvenience but enough is enough. This is not the time to invest more money hoping things will pick up.
