Maison Louis Latour Valmoissine Pinot Noir 2024 🇫🇷

Var/Coteaux du Verdon in Provence rather than Burgundy. It’s a lovely example of a warmer-climate Pinot Noir, but the altitude helps retain freshness.

The nose was quite expressive with ripe blackcurrant and red berries, alongside a subtle woodland and herbal notes.

A Light to Medium-bodied Pinot Noir. Round and silky, with juicy cassis and raspberry. The fruit has a slightly darker, richer character than you might expect from Pinot Noir, reflecting the warmer Provençal climate. The tannins are soft and well integrated, while the acidity keeps everything fresh. A Fresh and pleasantly persistent finish with a subtle savoury edge.

Really good with charcuterie and cheeses, roast chicken, mushroom dishes. 🍗🧀🍄

Any excuse for a great glass of Pinot Noir on a Tuesday night is appreciated haha.
