📣 Some great team results this weekend…

⭐ The Men’s Senior Cowdy team went into the return leg at Lurgan today just 2 points behind after the away leg at Tandragee last weekend. The team put up a strong performance at home to finish with a 29.5 – 26.5 victory and now progress to the next round.

⭐ The Rossmore Cup team had a similar strong performance in their home leg this afternoon against Spa, requiring just 1.5 points to secure the overall win. The guys played some fantastic golf and got the first 2 matches over the line to claim the victory.

⭐ The Barton Shield team were out early in neutral venue Killymoon this morning and had a great win over Banbridge to secure their place in round 3 of the competition which was played in the afternoon. The guys were unfortunately beaten by an impressive Slieve Russell team and missed out on one of the top 4 spots of the day.

😔 Our Ladies Cowdy team were also in Killymoon this afternoon for the return away leg and after a fantastic performance at home earlier in the week unfortunately they were pipped at the post by Killymoon and are out of the Cup but will now compete for the Cowdy Quaich.

⭐ Our junior Peter O’Hara team were due to meet Co.Cavan today but with the competitors unable to field a team, the boys now progress to round 3 of the competition where they will face Tandragee.

👏🏼 Congratulations to the winners of our recent competitions.

Our competitions are kindly sponsored this year by local fresh prepared food manufacturer Avondale Foods.

As well as supplying their own brand, Country Kitchen, they supply supermarket own-label products to major retailers like Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Dunnes, Morrisons, Aldi, and Lidl.

📣 Team news…..

A mixed bag of results for our teams this weekend!

⭐ The Belfast & District Cup team had a superb tie-hole win over Kirkistown and now progress to round 3 of the competition.

⭐ The Senior Cowdy team had a great start in their away leg which finished 15-13 to Tandragee and it’s now all to play for in return home leg next Sunday.

😔 Our Ladies’ Senior Foursomes team were knocked out in today’s quarter-final after some very tight matches in awful weather conditions at Belvoir.

😔 Our Junior Fred Daly team were beaten by an experienced Tandragee side despite a huge effort from the boys at both the home & away legs.

Thanks to everyone who gave of their time to represent the club and for those who came out to show their support!

☀️ The weather wasn’t the kindest but the course was in magnificent condition yesterday for our annual Menary Cup Open. It was great to see so many members and visitors take to the course and enjoy the competition.

👏🏻 Congratulations to one of our visitors, Victoria Hannath from Portadown who scooped the top prize with an impressive 39 points.

🏆 After the competition, the ladies enjoyed a delicious meal before the prize presentation, where the winners of the last few week’s competitions were presented with their prizes from Ladies’ Captain, Frances McCorry.
