Thank you for all the lovely feedback today regarding our food, we really do appreciate every single one of them 💛

It’s been a busy day, and we apologise to those of you that couldn’t get a seat inside due to us being at full capacity.

The dish of the day was certainly the creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough!🍄‍🟫 Followed by our ever popular Kedgeree🐟 A gentle reminder that if you wish to takeaway, we’ll do our utmost to accommodate you. Please do phone ahead to place an order if you’d like to pick up, and we’ll get everything ready for you.

Have a great weekend everyone, we will be open from 9:30 am tomorrow as always⭐️

Today, we want to say a huge thank you to the crews from all 35 stations across Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service as well as the 18 fire services from around the country who have supported us over the past week.

600 Suffolk firefighters have been in attendance overall, along with supporting crews from London, Dorset and Wiltshire, Leicestershire, Kent, Surrey, Gloucestershire and Dersley, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire and Worcester, West Midlands, Essex, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Devon and Somerset, Oxfordshire, West Yorkshire and East Sussex.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in the response, which has included more than 150 people from support organisations, including the Salvation Army and many local farmers, as well as groundworks crews at Sizewell C, the RSPB, Natural England and our team.

Although progress has been made, it still remains a live scene and Dunwich Heath remains closed. Hidden hotspots, unstable ground, ash and ongoing firefighting activity continue to present risks.

Thank-you for your understanding and your support. 💜

🚨Please do not visit Dunwich Heath🚨

Over the past 24 hours, firefighters have had to es**rt dog walkers and other members of the public away from the area after they entered restricted locations or became lost.

We want to make it clear that while the incident remains stable, the danger is far from over.

Firefighters are still dealing with hotspots across the site every day. What may look like 'safe', burnt ground can be hiding temperatures in excess of 60°C at the surface, with temperatures significantly higher just a few inches below ground.

Underground tree roots, animal burrows and scorched earth continue to smoulder beneath the surface, creating hidden hazards that are not always visible from above.

Fire crews remain on site, patrolling affected areas and responding to hotspots identified by drone technology. When smoke is spotted, drones are used to locate the source before crews are deployed to tackle it. A firefighting helicopter also remains in operation today to help tackle particularly hard-to-reach areas.
Today's hot and windy conditions are increasing the likelihood of flare-ups, making this a particularly important time for the public to stay away.
Please do not visit Dunwich Heath and do not enter closed areas. The landscape has changed dramatically as a result of the fire. Areas that were once familiar can now be difficult to navigate, making it easy to become disorientated.

Keeping away helps protect your safety and allows firefighters to focus on tackling the incident.
