Cooked up a banging, authentic Thai curry for 30 of my colleagues here at the Isle of Man TT tonight...despite being a bit spicy it went down with flying colours!
It ain't just Toasties I can do but I wore the shirt anyway 😎

My friends from Deans Beans have now taken over Pitstop cafe on harvest drive and we've pitched up for breakfast...but look! They have put my favourite cheese and marmite toastie on the menu!

Well a month on I've lost 3kg of Toasties and can now be found crewing for Jet Adventures on occasion (other crew are available 😁) so feel free to wander along from the pavilion to say hi or go onto the website and book yourselves onto a cracking trip out to Scroby Sands to see the seals or along the coast to look at Lowestoft from another angle or even down past the new bridge to see the town's past on Lake Lothing...you'll get the same friendly, smiley service but a diet version 😉

Last day! LAST CHANCE!

If you are hankering after a last toastie you have only six hours left 😥 East Point Pavilion is closing at five tonight and so am I...but I've been and bought plenty of bread, plenty of cheese and plenty of butter (to go with the onions, ham, tomatoes, bacon, marmite, pickle, beans) to satisfy more people than I expect so as to not disappoint you 😁

It's absolutely beautiful here at East Point Pavilion and Lowestoft Beach today....and with bank holiday in full swing I have updated my specials board here at Toasties !! I know it's not as good as one of those elephant's paintings you get sold in Sri Lanka* but it's legible...
..anyway I'm here today, tomorrow and until 4pm on bank holiday Monday to treat you all to the last of my toasted sandwiches, hotdogs and soup so come along and tuck.in!

*Fun fact: East Point Manager Alison started and ran her own elephant sanctuary in Sri Lanka a few years ago. Nowadays she is content to look after Worzel 😁

It's the weekend! It's the last weekend! It's the last chance! Toasties is leaving 😭 come along to East Point Pavilion today for a handful of crispy, fatty, carby heaven 😋 dipped in soup they are even more special so why not push the boat out on this rainy day...

It's a full weekend of free events here too, with Open Mic tonight with Lowestoft Live and tomorrow night there's Seafront Sounds - Percy's Pearls with Strutt Your Mutt on Sunday too so a bit of something for everyone. See you soon - I'm going to miss you ☺️

Top tip - mash your beans a bit first to thicken the sauce, thus removing some of the na**lm that shoots down your top and sleeve :-)

For those following , in answer to your questions:
1) yes, it’s still in use and not been put in a cupboard yet
2) and yes, I did miss my sandwich toaster while I was on tour in the US.
This, today, is my first use of the Breville style plates. I was going to do a quick one with beans and, as I’m a beginner, googled ‘do I heat the beans first for a bean toastie?’ and that’s when the internet went ‘why not add some cheese?’. I, dear reader, did an audible moan and now present to you, my bean and cheese toastie. It was delicious, though my risk averse self was so worried about it being hotter than the sun so left it too long and it was JUST warm. Lesson learnt. Which is what it’s all about, learning, on

It’s a green foot stool, upon which is a black and grey speckled plate. On that, is a toasted sandwich. No salad this time as salad and baked beans don’t really go. Plus, f**k it. The sandwiches are breville style if you’re old enough to know what that means. If you’re not, they’re triangular and the plates on the toastie maker mould them into that shape and sort of close the edges. There’s a bit of cheesey bean juice dribbling onto the plate. OH HELL YES.

Time, they say, is of the essence...a week from now I will be but a fading, cheesy memory...

A start-up pop-up, I was originally only intending to be selling Toasties at East Point Pavilion for six weeks from mid-February until the end of March, to take me from redundancy until my birthday, to have fun and see if I actually could make a business out of selling my favourite meal (turned out that yes, I can!). Anyway, I was very lucky to be able to extend until this Sunday and the Strut Your Mutt event (which is an excellent day for doggy-lovers) so, if you can't bear the thought of life without a delicious toastie I suggest you come down this week and tuck in while you still can as I really can't have you all around my house next week and I have rather a lot of cheese to use up!

Seriously, thank you all for making life at Toasties the fun experience it has been. I'll be back in the crowd next week so please do feel free to say Hi :)
