🥔 NEW! SPUDS IN THE PUB! 🥔

We’re giving you another very good reason to pop in on a Friday lunchtime…

Starting tomorrow, we’re teaming up with The Stuffed Spud The Stuffed Spud to bring you Spuds in the Pub!

From 12–2pm every Friday, head over to The Stuffed Spud in the Hallcroft, just minutes from us near the library, choose your delicious, steaming hot jacket potato from Lucy, then bring it back to the pub and enjoy it with your favourite lunchtime tipple.

And these aren’t just any jacket potatoes… 😋

We’re talking proper delicious fillings, from the classic cheese & beans to meatballs with tomato sauce & cheese, chilli, tuna & prawns and more.

No booking needed. Just turn up, grab your spud and join us.

A hot, filling lunch, a lovely little pub and your favourite drink…

Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Friday to us!

Last weekend, the Red Room was being put to very good use… 🥂

A retirement celebration, surrounded by friends, family, good food and, we’re sure, a few stories from a long career!

And honestly, this is exactly what we love about our Red Room.

It’s a little space away from the main bar where you can get everyone together, make yourselves comfortable and celebrate properly.

The room is available for up to around 30 people, with flexible seating and standing, and there’s no charge to hire it.

We can also help arrange food through local suppliers, including buffets, charcuterie boards and ploughman’s, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

Drinks can be pre-ordered, put on a tab or simply ordered from the bar.

And if the sun is shining? Our courtyard and garden are yours to enjoy too.

We’ve already started taking 2027 bookings, so if you’ve got a retirement, birthday, anniversary, family gathering or other occasion coming up, why not have a chat with us?

Last week our lovely red room was turned into a surprise party venue for one of our lovely customers who’s retiring.

Our private room is perfect for all sorts of occasions, including:

💼 Small meetings
🎈 Family get-togethers
🍻 Just getting a group of friends together

The room can accommodate around 25–30 people, with a mixture of seating and standing space, making it a lovely, relaxed setting for your gathering.

And if you’re looking for food, we can help with that too! Working with local suppliers we can provide buffets and food options, including delicious charcuterie boards, so you can enjoy your event without having to worry about catering. Or if you’d prefer to provide your own catering - that is also an option!

And the best bit? There’s no room hire charge. 🙌
