ANNOUNCEMENT
So I’ve been putting this off all day today because I can’t find the right words to say.
On Saturday night I served our very last meal, I didn’t want to make a fuss, I wanted normality and to end this first chapter of Pavoni & Co with dignity.
No closing party.. there’s nothing to celebrate.. as a team we fought strong, we was resilient, ever adapting & evolving.. we built during lockdown, we opened during limited hours, we opened as a takeaway, we did cook at home boxes, we had outdoor seating only, we became an Xmas market, longridge field day hotdogs, amazing brunch! 2-4-1 cocktail weekend parties, £5 pizza flash deals, we hosted your birthdays, your business meetings & your special occasions.
We fought so hard…. we had our fair share on online abuse that we took on the chin… but the fight has had to come to a gentle and understated ending…
My team have been really supportive of me & this decision. We had a teary drink after work on Saturday night with lots of love & hugs… I fu***ng love you guys so much! ❤️ they’re completely being looked after and have secure jobs going forward.
I’m writing this as “me”, not “we”, because this was a massive move and until today it’s not been shared, not with my girlfriend, my family or friends… I suppose carrying this weight on my shoulders and in my head felt like it was the right thing to do?
Im tired, beaten, broken & have issues in my life which need my attention…
Im so sorry to all the amazing people I’ve met on this journey, i’m sorry I’ve let you all down but i’m happy we’ve got to know each other… longridge has really warmed my heart and you’ve made me feel so welcome.
I’ve upset a few people on my journey too, but I’ve just had to do what I’ve had to do to survive… if any of you read this, please forgive me.. i’m sorry. It’s never personal.
Im going to miss all my amazing team, my amazing customers, my awesome neighbours (5in1 boys!), the routine of seeing people walk past, all the customers dogs, fighting for car parking with the staff. My beautiful wood fired oven 😢
