Can we do that again? What a send-off! 🇹🇹

For six years, the award-winning LIMIN SOUTHBANK has been a cultural touchstone for so many. It’s brought generations together in a safe space, to eat, drink, dance, lime and enjoy a little piece of Trinidad in London. And our closing party was no different.

Familiar faces from across the years, DJs on rotation, steel pan, drummers, dancers, plenty of food and rum punch flowing right to the end.

South Bank, you’ve been good to us. And so has our community. But LIMIN isn’t done yet 😉

From 2018. A pop-up in Old Spitalfields with a fryer, a dream and a whole lot of pepper sauce. A little dream from a man from Sangre Grande, Trinidad, all the way to the Thames.

Then 2021. Gabriel’s Wharf. First as LIMIN Beach Club, opening mid-pandemic and turning a riverside spot into a home as LIMIN SOUTHBANK.

We loved doubles so much we gave it a day 🇹🇹 International Doubles Day, invented by Sham, now in the actual calendar ☺️ and enjoyed by all!

Eight years of rum punch and carnival. Jerk & Beyond. Best Caribbean Restaurant. Faces you know, faces who became fam. The good times, and the ones that nearly broke us.

All of it because you showed up.

Tonight we close the South Bank chapter the only way we know how. One final lime, with our cherished people, in the place that raised us.

Giselle Laronde-West is still the only Miss World Trinidad and Tobago has produced, crowned at the Royal Albert Hall on 13 November 1986. She makes beautiful jewellery now.

Her second collection, Ode to Caribbean Flora, sterling silver worked with artist Reah Lee Sing, shows at LIMIN Southbank, Gabriel’s Wharf, London SE1 9PP, on Saturday 19 September, 5 to 8pm.

An exclusive evening of Caribbean craftsmanship awaits. ✨

We’re delighted to welcome former Miss World of Trinidad & Tobago, Giselle J. M. Laronde-West to LIMIN SOUTHBANK for the London showcase of her handcrafted sterling silver collection, Ode to Caribbean Flora.

Join us on Saturday 19th September, 5–8pm, for an intimate evening where you’ll be able to browse, try on and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by the beauty and culture of the Caribbean.
