Getting to see the thousands of little details that once only existed in your head slowly become reality is a strange feeling.
You spend months wondering if it will all come together at all.
Is the bandstand too hidden?
Will the colours work?
Can we actually fit everything inside the van?
Will anyone care enough to come back?
Before opening, the days feel very long. Every small decision feels huge.
But as we approach 20 months of The Green Bee, one thing we’ve realised is this: the years move fast.
What once felt impossible slowly becomes routine. The early mornings, the workflow tweaks, the familiar faces, the little community that builds around you.
To anyone thinking about giving something a go… start before you feel fully ready.
