Korean Restaurant Sodaeng Putney

Korean Restaurant Sodaeng Putney "Sodaeng" is a new Korean Restaurant in London with the Chef who worked at the first Korean restaurant in Scotland(Glasgow&Edinburgh) for 17 years.

Korean Restaurant 'SODAENG' is moved from Edinburgh to London in November 2021. Traditionally, cauldron called 'Gamasot' were used in Korea for cooking. Gamasot were large iron pots, and one advantage of this equipment is that it is able to keep the food warm for a long time. This meant that it was a very useful cooking equipment in Korea, where rice and soup are the main dishes.

'Sodaeng' is a p

ure Korean word for 'Sottukkeong', the lid of Gamasot. We have called our restaurant 'Sodaeng' to be a restaurant that base our food in Korean traditions, and study the food to allow people to enjoy our proud Korean cuisine. We promise to offer our customers the great and unchanging taste of Korean cuisine.

Woke up at dawn rolling Kimbap and hustling for our very first market pop-up 😎

Not inside our restaurant this time, but out in the open!
Watching people taste and enjoy our food right on the spot was just incredible.

Our chef loved it too. (yes, he had the best time)
