Little Sardegna is a rustic charmer nestled within the bustle of Blackstock Road. This gem, serving Sardinian & Italian plates, offers an open kitchen, pleasing service and a minimal, scribbly specials chalkboard.
The classy establishment blushes with 1980s Italian authenticity and satisfied, time-travelling customers. Despite being born before this era, it feels oddly familiar - plucked from a vintage holiday movie or magazine. Red and blue gingham tablecloths, homely wicker bread baskets, large, shiny, leather menus and knowledgable waiters dressed in white shirts add to its allure.
Chef Marcello and his team glow with devotion towards traditional Sardinian cuisine, and appear enthused to teach customers about its heritage and the combination of Italian, Spanish, and English flavour. Their limited menu sets the tone that they are culinary experts in this fare - and that they are.
It is not only the aesthetic of this spot that fosters its nostalgic magnetism - but the fact you must call to book. While this feels slightly out of sync with modern dining experiences and may induce mild anxiety in Gen Z diners who avoid speaking on the phone, it adds to
