A wonderful delivery of Irish cheeses has just arrived.

Back on the shelf is Mount Leinster Cheddar from Coolattin — a very mature cheddar with a sweet, brothy depth that keeps you coming back for another slice.

Alongside it is Crozier Blue, the smaller-batch sheep’s milk sibling of Cashel Blue, which we’ve stocked for years. Rich, balanced and particularly good at this time of year.

From Inagh in County Clare comes St. Tola and St. Tola Ash, exceptional raw goat’s milk cheeses made in very limited quantities.

And finally, Killeen in both its young and mature forms. A Gouda-style goat’s milk cheese: one fresh and supple at around two months old, the other deeper and more complex after a year of ageing.

A good week for Irish cheese. Come and have a taste.

It’s back. The annual Lamb’s Conduit Street Fair returns next Saturday, complete with the iconic Bloomsbury Waiters’ Race — a fine spectacle of speed, balance and local pride.

Grab a deckchair and settle in for a day of good food, drink and shopping. Our friends Brooke, Becky and Stuart will be there with their antique tableware, while Champagne and rosé flow alongside oysters, porchetta, shrimp rolls and plenty of other tempting fare.

Our restaurant will be open throughout the day for breakfast, brunch, lunch and supper. See you there.

Sunday 14th 11am-5pm Marylebone Summer Festival - come to Moxon Street where we are running Oyster Bar, Fabulous Franks hotdogs, Salt Beef sandwiches, Raclette, Our Famous Toasties, Kofta Wraps, Tiramisu, Strawberries & Cream, Ice cream, Cheese plates, wine & fizz & much more - lots of seating outside and in as usual. - join the fun & eat and drink well.

The Cheese Room at Highbury - full to the brim, including a shipment just in from Ireland. We have both the Cashel Blue (cow) and Crozier Blue (ewe) from Co. Tipperary. The Crozier will be wonderful with the new season’s cherries just arrived from Italy and tasting really sweet and juicy.
