Today is the festival of D**g Zhi (ๅ†ฌ่‡ณ) which marks the arrival of winter. ๐Ÿก โ˜ƒ๏ธโ„๏ธ On this day it is customary to eat a number of glutinous rice balls that denotes ones age in the coming new year.

We made these giant size glutinous rice balls filled with peanut butter in a sweet broth of goji berries, Chinese red dates, longan fruit, brown sugar, ginger juice and Wuyi Shuixian oolong tea, perfect for a cold winters morning.
