Freshness doesn’t happen by accident.

It’s dill and parsley chopped by hand before we open. Sweetcorn, gherkins and roasted peppers through the mushrooms. A dressing mixed in-house, then tossed properly so every forkful gets some.

Build your salad the way you like it, find a seat, and take your hour back.

A sunny weekend that starts by the water and never quite picks up speed.

Wraps built to order, the hot dish chalked up fresh each day — vegan and chicken stew with salad and brown rice — a granola bowl made just right to be taken out into the sun.

Grab a bench by our little Portlands Lake and stay a while. See you again tomorrow at East Village. 🌿

Either way, the answer starts here. A warm bowl of slow-simmered stew and a quiet corner if the day calls for it — or a wrap and a fresh juice to carry into the Olympic Park, with the River Lea doing what it does best. Lunch made properly, eaten however suits you.

There's a reason our chicken stew has been simmering on the same hob since we opened. It's the kind of thing that tastes like someone's been looking after it — because someone has. Slow-cooked, proper, the sort of meal that fills you up and makes you feel cared for. We've got the vegan stew with black rice too, if that's your thing. Both are made fresh daily and best enjoyed sitting down with time to breathe.

Over 90 fresh formulas behind this counter, and between us we've tried every single one. The team's current favourites: a Detox Zinger when the morning needs a nudge, a Berry Açaí when it doesn't, and a Mean Green for the brave. All freshly pressed, all made the moment you order.
