Today we celebrate a special milestone. Five years of Muriel’s Kitchen at the National Gallery.

How time flies! Five years of feeding the many millions of visitors who pass through these doors each year.

We couldn’t ask for a better home. Right in the heart of Trafalgar Square, surrounded by some of the world’s greatest masterpieces. It doesn’t get much better.

Thank you to The National Gallery for allowing us to call this place home, to our brilliant team who make it possible day in, day out, and to you, all the lovely people who visit along the way.

This is an ultimate comfort food favourite. Baked mac and cheese.

To get it just right, we start with a silky béchamel, plenty of parmesan and mature cheddar, a touch of Dijon for depth and of course, the cooked macaroni.

It’s topped with a breadcrumb crust then baked until golden on top.
