This is a gluten free bake made with the finest chocolate & blackcurrants grown here on the farm.

A note to our gluten free customers - we take a lot of care to avoid cross contamination. However, our bakery is used for the production of all our cakes & so there may be traces of gluten in any of our bakes. Including these. The same goes for our vegan/gf rhubarb flapjacks also on at the weekend.

All cakes/bakes available while stocks last. We’ll do our very best to bake the right amount but you never know here, especially with the weather as it is!

330g pouches or kilo bags. Be warned, shop bought granola won’t cut it once you’ve had ours.

Our first batch of strawberry jam will be available over the counter when we reopen the first weekend in June.

We’re busy making jam, our raw doughs, elderflower cordial, chutney, granola & all sorts ahead of our reopening next weekend in June.

PS. will post separately when picking season begins so give them a follow. We’re lucky enough to have early access to the first flush of juicy strawberries but they aren’t abundant enough for PYO just yet. Keep an eye out for updates with them directly!

We’ll be back in the bakery this week but our doors won’t open until June 6/7th. Meanwhile we have a special wedding cake commissioned 💕 by some of our long time customers & plenty of prep to do ahead of June opening. That includes tweaking recipes like our new brown butter marshmallow cornflake cookie 🍪 & stocking up wherever possible. . .on puff pastry, cookie doughs, frangipane, marshmallows, chutney, jams, granola & cordial! Lots of delicious things coming your way x

We’re closed for the last 2 weeks of May making this Saturday our last for a little while. So, to get a bit more cake out there, we’re going to open a little earlier this Saturday. From 9am.

Thursday/Friday we’re not “open” in the conventional sense. But we (the bakers) are in making doughs, fulfilling orders, preparing our jam, pastry & fillings etc. ahead of Saturday & busier times on the farm & in the bakery. Our espresso machine (affectionately known as Margot) is on so we invite the coffee lovers to drop in. Bring a book & escape a while!

We like to keep it understated here but do things well. And on Saturday gone, a customer declared our scones “the best” she’d ever had. And she’s not alone, many others have made such claims over the years. So we’re a little bit proud of ours!

Ways to enjoy our scones-
1. Drop in during our Saturday service (Sundays also from June) & enjoy a freshly baked scone with a view of the farm, lots of cream & house made jam. Currently offering strawberry or rhubarb.

2. Store in the freezer & have them on hand, at home, whenever you fancy!

3. Purchase ahead of time via the website. They come as a cream tea gift box or in boxes of 6. Freshly baked & therefore suitable to freeze at home.

Our wonderful sourdough supplier is taking a well deserved holiday so we have no loaves, croissants or pain au chocolat this coming Saturday. Sorry to disappoint you folks!

We do have a nice variety of orders on our own products this week meaning we’ll have buns, bagels, brownies, rhubarb crumble cake, cheese & regular scones & more, on the counter.

I first fell in love with the idea of this in New Zealand where loads of farm shops & cafes sell delicious fresh fruit ice creams.
