[Some years ago, while living in Richmond, Texas - I paid a trip to the historical George Ranch with my wife and kids. I was fascinated by the history and the era of the cattle ranchers, and Cowboys, I was also quite amazed at the great number of African American Freedmen and former Slaves (Black Cowboys), that were pioneers in the brave history of the trail riders. The role of Black Cowboy's was

pivotal in the creation of the iconic image of the Cowboy as we have come to know. They performed many roles, as trail leaders, drivers, outriders, Chuck Wagon cooks and more. The one thing that always kept the Cowboys going in the treachery and dangerous plains of the American West was,- a good strong brew of black Coffee. There are many stories told of how a good brew was always the highlight of a long trail day, especially after the often unpredictable expertise of the Chuck Wagon Cook. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges or facing situations that seem insurmountable, remember to hold onto hope. Take inspiration from my journey—though I still face struggles, each positive experience motivates me to keep striving for a better life, not just for myself, but for those around me too. Being featured in a window advertising screen by is a significant milestone for me. There are moments when I question whether I’ve taken on more than I deserve, but recognition like this fuels my determination. So, never lose faith! Keep pushing forward and focus on improving your craft. Together, we can overcome.
