Standing on the edge of Wandsworth Common, the County Arms combines traditional Victorian features with a twist of contemporary style, offering a diverse pub full of charm and sophistication. Our extensive areas will easily cater for your every need, whether you are popping in for a quick pint, dining with friends and loved ones, having a romantic candlelit supper or viewing sport on our drop-down screens. Our beer garden is one of the best in Wandsworth, great for alfresco dining or a drinks get together.

We’re celebrating Young’s 195th birthday and raising £195 for Pass The Plate, helping provide nutritious meals for children who need them.

A little County Arms history…

The County Arms has stood on the edge of Wandsworth Common since 1852, with the pub we recognise today rebuilt in 1890. For well over a century, it’s been a place for the people of Wandsworth to meet, drink and gather.

And it really has been part of local history. In 1863, a meeting was held at the County Arms as local residents organised to protect Wandsworth Common from further enclosure - rather lovely considering we’re still sitting proudly beside the Common today.

And this old photograph might be my favourite bit of all: the little boy and local policeman posing proudly outside the pub, beneath the old Young & Co signage. Just a tiny moment in the many generations that have passed through our doors.
