Trafalgar Tavern

Trafalgar Tavern 🌟Built in 1837🌟
Historic bar, restaurant & wedding venue A place where William Gladstone and Charles Dickens could be seen dining side-by-side.
(3405)

In Victorian London there was one pub that represented the best of Britain’s naval might and cultural standing. An oasis away from the industrial sprawl, but yet at the centre of an Empire. Exactly 170 years later the Trafalgar Tavern still stands in the Greenwich Maritime World Heritage Site, and it remains one of London’s most essential public houses

Last night we welcomed our friends from the Benjafields Racing Club for the evening.

A parade of vintage Bentleys including the iconic Bluebell sat beautifully together against the backdrop of the Trafalgar Tavern.

1912 // today.

From Victorian grandeur to modern-day Greenwich, the Trafalgar Tavern has seen it all.

In 1857 it was known for its whitebait dinners, part of Greenwich life that brought together political and literary circles, including Charles Dickens. Nearly two centuries on, our story continues on the river.
