A Statement Regarding Recent Rumours
I feel it is important to address the rumours circulating following the recent police attendance outside our premises.
The facts are straightforward. The police were called in relation to a local woman who had fallen from her bicycle while intoxicated. She came into the premises to use the toilet and clean herself up. Shortly afterwards, police officers attended and, due to her becoming aggressive towards them, she was arrested. Additional police vehicles arrived simply to assist the officers dealing with the situation.
Unfortunately, inaccurate stories have since been circulated claiming this was a drug raid on my apartment. This is completely false.
As many people know, I am a local businessman who works incredibly hard to build and support my businesses. I have never been involved with drugs, have never taken them, and I don't even smoke. In fact, I rarely drink alcohol.
What disappoints me most is how quickly false rumours can spread and how easily they can damage a person's reputation. This is one of the main reasons I have gradually stepped back from participating in community events. In the past, we were proud to give back by providing free Christmas hampers, Easter treats, Halloween events and other community initiatives. We did these things because we genuinely wanted to support local families and make a positive difference.
Sadly, when kindness is met with gossip, false accusations and negativity, it becomes increasingly difficult to justify putting in that time, effort and expense. That is genuinely upsetting, as supporting our local community has always meant a great deal to us.
To everyone who has supported us, stood by us and chosen to seek the facts rather than believe rumours, thank you. Your support is truly appreciated.
I hope this statement puts an end to the speculation so that we can all move forward, support one another, and focus on what really matters. Thank you
