Yuzu Juice - Japanese citrus fruit seasoning

We've been asked quite alot about adding this to our shop and its finally here!

Imported from Japan, it will elevate with a zesty Japanese citrus burst everything from salad dressings and sauces, to desserts and cocktails 💛

Hugely popular these days and even non Japanese restaurants use it as much as tempura or katsu in their menu descriptions these days 😂 but this one is the real deal 👌

If you know you know and if you don't know you know, then you know what, you should give it a try and be in the know, if you know what I mean 🤦‍♂️😂

After a few stern words with our supplier, we're pleased to confirm that our delivery today was some of the best quality bluefin tuna we've ever had!! 🙌

Our amazing Sushi Chefs design every sushi plate bespoke, as every order is different 🥰

For this one, we were asked to create a Sushi Cake for an 18th birthday to include all the birthday girls favourites + ideas from our Chefs.

Chefs are often led by price margins, rules and regulations, and whilst ours have to follow those too, they also have the freedom to create every plate, how they think it will look best.

I'll never get tired of seeing your orders being brought to life by their creations 😍

Not sure I like this one 🤔

Being honest, I'm not a huge fan of online reservations as we lose the personal touch to be able to speak to you when booking in and because of the horror stories I hear in hospitality of lots of no shows which really hurts hospitality businesses.

However, I often think one of the reasons we've survived as long as we have, is due to us evolving every year and always trying to improve and online reservations were always going to be inevitable.

So its here! Online reservations for Etsu are now fully available just hit find a table via our Google page and the link is below 🥰

Available for bookings upto 7 people, so you still need to contact us if its more than that and please do also contact if it says we're fully booked as we have held some tables back for last minute customers so we may still be able to fit you in.

As our online robot won't ask you extra details like we might on the phone, there is a customers comment box during the online booking process, so make sure you fill that in if you're celebrating a special occasion, would like to request a certain table or any other info that we can use to make your experience with us a great one ❤️

End of another week

Huge thanks to everyone who's dined with this us, took home some goodies from our shop, tried out our new online bookings, hit share/like or took time to comment on posts or write a review.... we appreciate you 🙇‍♂️

Love this Japanese word Otsukaresama that I've heard so often at the end of night when the team are going home.

Working in hospitality is really hard work and saying this to your fellow team members is such a lovely way to end each shift.

Rest day for the team tomorrow and we look forward to being back open on Tuesday ❤️

Its been 2 years since we decided to go all out and add Bluefin tunas prime cuts akami, chutoro & otoro to our specials menu permanently.

It was a risk to bring such a high quality and expensive ingredient in permanently, as any waste would cost us dearly, but you guys love it! ❤️

When I asked London to ship it up to Liverpool on a regular basis, they asked me if I was sure as nobody else in Liverpool has done it before.

Could we have done this 19 years ago when we were opening, probably not, but in Liverpool, we know quality when we see it and why should London have all the fun 🥰

What a week!! ..
Started the week with a huge leak so the buildings water supply had to be turned off, forcing us to close last minute for the first time in our history 😔 then a fridge packing in on us so we had to buy a very expensive new one 😩 having to throw away a load of stock 🤦‍♂️ and then there was the heat 🥵 made this possibly one of the craziest weeks where you just have to laugh 😂

Somehow, we are finishing the week on a high though 🙌 as we've had lots of you visit us despite your bbqs being very appealing and had lots of new amazing reviews go on which only fuels our motivation 🥰

Picked this review out, but honestly we loved them all, well except for the negative one because we had to close on Tuesday 😔😢

One more service for the week to go today before a well earned rest day tomorrow for the team.

We are open from 4pm and looking forward to seeing you to finish off our crazy week on a high note ❤️
