MARK YOUR CALENDARS

On Monday 29th June, for one day only, we’re throwing it back to 2006 prices.

Our new Classics Menu, a 20th year celebration of the dishes that made Hawksmoor, Hawksmoor, will be available for just £45. Yep.

You regulars can probably guess what’s on it, but just in case:

🐚 Roasted scallops
🥩 Longhorn ribeye
🐟 Anchovy hollandaise
🍮 Sticky Toffee Pudding
🍺 Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew

Plus, Our Queen of Puddings has made a new pud to mark the occasion. It’s like The Grand Rocher, reimagined as a birthday cake. Chocolate, hazelnut, gold leaf. And good grief is it good.

Bookings go live this week, on Friday 19th June 2026.

One small catch though, bookings will be exclusive to our database. So, if you’re not signed up, now might be the time.

Available at £45 for one day only, across all our UK Hawksmoor’s.

Link in bio to get on the list.

Hey, you can’t win ‘em all.

Foxlow was a valuable lesson.

It reminded us to stay focused on the things that matter most at Hawksmoor:

🥩 Buy the best and cook it simply
✨ Create something special (for guests and our teams)
🌍 Do our best to look after people and planet
🤝 Work hard, be nice

Not a bad set of principles to come back to.

Why don’t we cook with butter? 👇

We make pains to find the best beef. Be a shame to cover that flavour.

So the only thing we add is salt and fire.

That said, butter basting has its merits.

It’s called beurre noisette – “hazelnut butter” – because it’s cooked until the milk solids toast and develop a nutty flavour.

Another layer of savoury to your steak!

Strawberries!

Jam, sorbet, tuille, sauce and, of course, fresh strawberries, too.

We could have called it Strawberry Five Ways, but simple Strawberry Tart felt more us.

Deftly done, .

What a way to kick off our summer menu.

Wax on, wax off.

Just like the Karate Kid, our chefs start with the basics.

Making a sauce, dressing a salad – again and again (and again). Until it’s just right.

That’s how the foundations are built.

In a year, they’ll be an important part of the kitchen. In 10, they could well be running one.

And that’s the aim at Hawksmoor: if our chefs want to reach the top, we’ll do everything we can to help them get there.

Do you create your own luck?

This being our 20th anniversary, it’s been on our minds.

And, well, we think you might. How? With positive intention.

It’s something we’ve built into our principles – how we work and how we treat people.

We often say: “Be nice, work hard.”

Perhaps what looks like luck is the result of thousands of small decisions made with the right intentions.

That’s why, as co-founder Will says, being called “lucky” is such a compliment.

But why choose longhorn over regular steaks? 👇

Two reasons:

🐂 Flavour – longhorns live longer, are bred slower and so develop a more complex beefy taste. It’s night and day compared with the industrial stuff.

🏛️ Heritage – longhorns are the grass-chewing story of sustainable British cattle farming. World-class quality, exported around the world.

You’ll find longhorn sharing steaks on our blackboards ever weekend.

She’s more prolific than The Beatles.

And knocks out just as many bangers.

Oh yes, our pastry maestro Carla is back with a messy beaut that nods to the season and makes Debrett’s quake.

Whipped blueberry and basil cheesecake with lemon granita-ta-ta and an oat-laced tuile.

Use your fork. Use your hands. Use your partner’s credit card. Whatever works.

Why is thyme so good with a roast?

Easy answer...

Because it makes roast meat taste more roasty.

Geeky answer...

Thyme’s aromatic oils (thymol, carvacrol and friends) are come out with the fat of the meat – and they happen to pair beautifully with the flavour compounds created when meat browns in the oven.

See if you can spot it in our Sunday roast next time you’re at Hawksmoor.

Anyone else count six? ☺️

🔪 Palette knife
🌡️ Thermometer
🥣 KitchenAid
🌀 Whisk
🍴 Spatulas
⭕ Moulds

Like says, choosing only five is tough. If your budget can stretch consider these, too:

⚖️ Digital scales
🕸️ Fine mesh sieve
🪚 Dough scraper

Or get none and have Carla and her team make it for you. They’re pretty good at this sort of thing.
