A Huge Thank You to Trussell Food bank for making a wonderful donation of catering sized tins! 🙌♥️

We're currently planning recipes ready for next week using some of the tins.

If you're in and passing by, why not pop in for tea or coffee - only £1.50!

We also have a breakfast menu from 10am till 12pm and lunch is served from 12pm till 2pm with a main course available for £3.

And of course our Mint Lane Market is open with plenty of delicious foods available at reasonable prices (perfect for making wholesome meals over the summer hols).

Involve Lincoln Thanks for the lemonbalm chat to the man on Lincoln High Street. He spotted the herbs 🌿 in my bike basket and told me about his 80 year old Mum's joyful herb garden full of golden oregano and lemon balm. I'd just done gardeningclub where we had been trimming back the lemonbalm.

🍃 NEW IN THIS WEEK AT MINT LANE MARKET 🍃

We've had another delivery from the team of fantastic goodies including some loaves of Hovis Farmhouse Batch Wholemeal Bread - delicious with butter and Marmite!

The Market is now open from 10am-2:30pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

And, while you're here, why not stop for a drink and something to eat in our community cafe?

Great Lavender shortbread recipe from Wild in the Woods CIC 🙌

🪻 Lavender Shortbread 🪻

They may have taken a while to cook but they were so worth it!

We made individual portions but here’s the recipe for a batch.

300g plain flour
200g butter (we used dairy free)
100g sugar
1 tsp dried lavender flowers

Mix everything together and cut using a cookie cutter and either cook over a fire in a Dutch oven or in a regular oven.

We drizzled icing sugar and sprinkled a few more flowers over the top. Delicious! 💜

All of the food and drink in the Market has been donated by wonderful members of our community, local farmers and companies or has come to us through our long-standing partnership with .

We don't just talk about reducing food waste and improving sustainability - we do it, together.
