Did you know before it was the Barbican creative hub and Salt and Fettle the building was already opening its doors to many different clientele?
One of the most memorable businesses was the Albion Hotel 1876. For more than a century, the Albion formed part of Lincoln’s hospitality landscape, positioned directly opposite the railway station as an important gateway into the city. In 1983 becoming the Barbican hotel.
This building retains significant Victorian architectural character, including surviving 1890s interiors, and its relationship with the Grade II listed railway station contributes to its heritage significance.
Now a new chapter begins 💚🌿
The now restored building has become the Barbican Creative Hub which are supporting Lincolnshire’s artists, freelancers, businesses and makers, while Salt & Fettle occupies its café space for the public and private events during the night.
