Our fabulous lot have gone all out for Halloween… and don’t they look frightfully good! 🖤

They’re dead good at pulling pints, experts in spirits and still serving up plenty of smiles.. although some are looking a little more sinister than usual! 😂🍻

Moon Madness from Joule's Brewery is now pouring… just in time for Halloween! 🎃 Always super popular!

At a devilishly precise 4.666% ABV, this brew is certainly getting into the spirit of the season! 😈🍻

We’ll leave the howling at the moon to these two! 🐺🌕

🎃 THERE’S SOMETHING SPOOKY BEHIND THE BAR… 👻🥃

This Halloween, we’re getting into the spirit of things with Balla Black Spiced Rum! 😈

Rich, dark and full of flavour, with notes of vanilla, caramel and warming spice… a fabulous tipple for a spooky evening!

But this bottle has a trick of its own… 👀 Turn it upside down and its mask reveals a rather more monstrous face! Ask the team for a closer look next time you’re at the bar! 🫣

Enjoy over ice or with cola and a wedge of lime… a little treat for the rum lovers among you! 🍋‍🟩🕸️

After Friday evening exploring Tamworth, Saturday’s Micropub Adventures will take me to the lovely historic city of Lichfield, before heading over to Sutton Coldfield for one final brewery stop! 🍻

I’ve got a fantastic selection of traditional pubs, micropubs and brewery venues lined up, including a few familiar favourites and some new places I’ve been looking forward to visiting.

Last night we took a little trip down the road to see the beautiful Dee & Kerry at The Miners Rest . ❤️

We have so much love and respect for these two, and we couldn’t let their final evening at the pub pass without showing our faces and sharing one last drink with them there. 🍻

Seven years of hard graft, heart and dedication have gone into creating such a fabulous pub, and that lovely, welcoming atmosphere was something we felt again visiting last night. You should both be so proud of everything you’ve built together. ❤️ Always one of our final stops on our Joule's Brewery taphouse crawls!

Please join us in wishing Dee & Kerry all the very best for the future, whatever they turn their hands to next!

🌟 IN THE SPOTLIGHT… OUR DAVE (DIZ) 🌟

Today we want to shine the spotlight on someone who deserves a little recognition of his own… our Dave, Manager at the Duke of York! ❤️

After a couple of weeks of receiving so much lovely recognition and bringing home some fabulous awards, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate one of the people who helps make it all possible.

Dave joined us back in April 2022, and in those four years he has become such a huge part of our team and the Duke itself. To so many of you, he’s a familiar face behind the bar, someone to have a laugh with and a big part of what makes a visit to the Duke special. 🍻

But we also want to recognise the work that goes on around all of that: leading the team, keeping things running, maintaining standards and caring about the pub and the people in it.

Then there’s creating new shottails, keeping me on my toes, ganging up on me with Andy… and, of course, dealing with me! That last one probably deserves an award all of its own! 🤣🤣

As owners, having someone who cares so much about a place we’ve put our hearts into means the world to us. These awards are a team achievement, and Dave has played such an important part in helping us get here.

So, Diz… thank you for your hard work, your dedication, your loyalty and all the laughs along the way. We’re incredibly grateful to have you alongside us. ❤️
We genuinely have such an amazing team that make up our pub family and as much as you can all drive me absolutely crazy at times, I love you all lots!
