BEERFEST is back for 2026! 🍻

Join us from 12pm on Saturday 12 September as we celebrate the immense talent of local Sussex breweries at our second annual BeerFest.

We’ve invited Only With Love UnBarred Brewery Hand Brew Co and Burning Sky, who will all be bringing a fantastic selection of their biggest, boldest and best beers.

Django Chutney Chutney are bringing their blend of hot and swingin’ gypsy jazz, vocal harmonies and more slap bass than you can shake a stick at, while Brighton-based Tamanduá will be bringing samba sounds straight from the streets of Brazil.

There’ll be a range of beer snacks and street food on offer, whipped up by our own kitchen!

With sustainability in mind, we will be using reusable plastic “Lewes Cups” for a deposit of 50p. Or you can bring your own glass or cup; as long as it has a legal measure marked on it, we will fill it!

BeerFest will be spread out over our terrace and garden space and entry is free, so head on down and settle in for a hearty session! 🍺

This week, see The Midnight Ramblers, a London/Sussex based folk and country trio blending the English and American folk traditions. Expect country classics alongside the folk songs that inspired them. Dirty Mac will be serving up elevated American classics – Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Hot Dogs (and their vegan versions are just as delicious!)

No booking required, but we recommend coming down early to secure a table!

🌞Happy Eclipse Day🌞 We're all looking forward to seeing this once-in-a-lifetime event this evening, and to mark the occasion, our resident inclusive filmmaking group for young adults with neurodivergences and disabilities, The A-Listers, have made this wonderfully atmospheric video.

We hope everyone has a memorable time watching this marvel of nature. Don't forget your eclipse glasses, your pinhole cameras or your...colanders, apparently?

The madcap 1986 musical from Frank Oz stars Rick Moranis is Seymour Krelborn, a nerdy young man working at a flower shop on Skid Row. Berated by his boss and harbouring a secret crush on his co-worker, his routine is disrupted when he discovers a mysterious plant with a craving for blood!

Our Everybody Friendly screenings offer relaxed, subtitled movie experiences in our spacious and accessible cinema. They are especially welcoming for older guests, as well as autistic people, the D/deaf community and people with learning difficulties or dementia.

ERUPCJA screens at Depot from Friday 7 August

Erupcja is a charming relationship drama set in Poland, starring Charli XCX. A young woman working at a flower shop in Warsaw finds herself entangled in a romantic chaos when her childhood friend comes to visit with a new boyfriend in tow. Riffing on the loose playfulness of films like Before Sunrise and Céline and Julie Go Boating, this wistful tale sees director Pete Ohs reflecting on love, friendship, and the magic of coincidence.

HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE returns to the big screen for its 10th Anniversary from Friday 7 August

Starring the late Sam Neill, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a hilarious family adventure from director Taika Waititi. A defiant kid who has spent his life in and out of foster homes is taken in by a couple in the wild New Zealand bush. When he and his new foster ‘uncle’ are forced to go on the run, a national manhunt ensues and they must set aside their differences to work together.

🍷 We’re excited to announce our first Meet the Supplier event at Depot – and you’re invited! On Friday 14 August, join us on our terrace to welcome one of our new suppliers – Everflyht Vineyard, joining us from just down the road in Ditchling.

You’ll have the opportunity to sample an exquisite selection of wines from the vineyard, as well as plenty of chances to chat with the Everflyht team about wine production in Sussex.

To top it off, we’ll be offering a 10% discount on our stocked Everflyht products for the day. Choose from their luxurious Wylde Sparkling Rosé or the award-winning Cuvée Edition 3, a sparkling wine that reflects the estates current planting by combining Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier.
