Last weekend we hosted a special event - here’s a few pics of our ‘pudding night ‘ all you could eat ! Some did better than others. made an amazing lemon curd for these tarts - My tiramisu also got great feedback ! 8 puddings x 20 people -

It was a busy week ! On top of the usual stuff . We held a Birthday party yesterday after hours for a 2 year old , then in the evening we catered for a garden party in the most spectacular setting in Swithland. I love summer parties !!!!!

So we have fantastic news. The Virgin Queen is now nice and plump ! I can’t believe how much bigger she is ! She’s started laying eggs. So we need a name for her. This is the lady we collected from the Riding school Parkview. - any suggestions ?

Quick update on the swarm. - The weather has been awful !! So I just did a quick check. But ….. I’m not sure the queen is mated !!??? She’s very slim - no eggs. This can happen in cast swarms. - So at the minute they are in the hive. - they didn’t abscond ! - Thats great news. But as to eggs not yet !!! Let’s see what we have in another week. It’s meant to warm up tomorrow! So we have a waiting game !
