A beautiful evening celebrating Raksha Bandhan, community, unity and service in Leicester, with Cllr Kulwinder Singh Johal, Lord Mayor of Leicester, and Rupert Matthews, Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Delighted to attend the Brits Desi Society Raksha Bandhan Celebration, in collaboration with Hari Prabodham Parivaar, and to share the evening with so many wonderful people from across Leicester’s civic and community life.

Lovely also to meet Shweta Mantri, Founder of The Sacred – Luxury with Intention as well as Heena ben, Executive, Brits Desi Society.

A celebration rooted in the spirit of seva, respect, connection and togetherness, values that make Raksha Bandhan so meaningful.

Thank you to the Brits Desi Society Inspiring Women Wing and everyone involved in bringing the community together for such a warm and meaningful celebration.

What a beautiful celebration of India’s vibrant culture at Amrut today!

Together with our wonderful co-host, , we had the pleasure of welcoming our guests for an afternoon filled with flavour, culture and unforgettable memories.

From a traditional welcome with flower garlands, bindis and a refreshing drinks, to an interactive chaat-making workshop with our head Chef Dharmendra ji, every moment was a celebration of India’s rich culinary heritage.

Guests then enjoyed an authentic Indian lunch before ending the day on a high with an energetic Bollywood dance workshop led by the fantastic Rebecca, who had everyone dancing, laughing and embracing the vibrant spirit of Bollywood.

A heartfelt thank you to Priti Raichura, Chef Dharmendra, Rebecca, Professor Jit and every guest who joined us for making this experience so special. It was a joy to share the colours, flavours and warmth of India with you all.

Here’s to many more unforgettable cultural experiences at The Amrut Experience.
