It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we must today announce our permanent closure on The Queens Arcade, Leeds.
Like many hospitality businesses the pandemic left the business fragile. Any significant decrease in footfall or rise in costs would be the final straw and in 2022 we’ve experienced extremes of both. Our business Monday - Friday has been decimated by the decline of office workers. While Saturday’s remain resilient, it’s impossible to sustain a business on 1 busy day a week.
Most of you will understand a unit 50ft from Harvey Nichols, just off Briggate, comes with significant fixed costs and these, coupled with vast energy hikes are now sadly over whelming.
