Just got sent this and found it to be very apt 🤷‍♀️

🤖 WHY DO SMALL BUSINESSES USE AI FOR ADVERTISING? 🤔
Well, funny you should ask... 😂
Apparently, we're supposed to run a business, serve customers, order stock, manage staff, clean, do the accounts, organise events, deal with suppliers, pay the bills AND somehow find time to become professional graphic designers, photographers and marketing experts. 🙄
Oh, and preferably do all that without spending any money. 💸
So, when a bit of technology comes along that helps us knock up a decent poster, advertise an event and actually get the word out there, we're going to use it!
Shocking, I know. 😱
We could, of course, pay a marketing agency £500 to design a poster advertising a £2.50 bowl of soup. That sounds like excellent business sense. 🤦‍♂️😂
Here's the thing...
AI doesn't open the doors.
AI doesn't pull your pint.
AI doesn't organise your entertainment.
AI doesn't clean the toilets.
AI doesn't pay the bills.
And AI certainly doesn't put in the ridiculous hours that small business owners do.
It just helps us advertise what we're working bloody hard to provide.
So, if you see a small business using AI to promote itself, perhaps instead of moaning about the poster, you could support the actual business behind it.
Because, strangely enough, the customers are real, the staff are real, the bills are VERY real, and the effort is absolutely real. ❤️
Anyway, must dash. Apparently, my AI-generated poster has offended someone who wasn't coming in anyway. 😂🍺
Support small businesses. Not just the ones with a graphic design degree. 👏
