Hey Hessian friends, I write this post, still struggling to find the words on what has been one of the hardest decisions Ive ever had to make.
This week we closed our doors for the very last time. We served our final coffees and poached our very last egg.
Following the Pandemic lockdown we chose to remain closed, a decision that in hindsight may not have been the best choice for the business. With all staff furloughed we thought we would ride out the lockdown, and then bounce back.
2 years on, and nearly 100k of business debt (100% due to the effects of Covid) we simply just can’t carry on.
Although the decision to remain closed may have been our downfall, I will never regret or ever have the amount of time I got to spend with my young children Sam & Jack.
Hessian has been my life for 4 years, and catering 25 years, a life filled with so many memories, it’s simply too much to put into words.
I want to thank each and everyone of you that has supported us over the years. To all the amazing staff & suppliers we have worked alongside.
Our friends on the high street and all our industry friends who have always supported our business. Here’s some pictures of our beautiful little site, my two children who I love to infinity and beyond.
We want to wish who will be taking on the venue from Friday this week. I’m sure they will do it proud.
Nothing lasts forever yet I take with me some lasting memories of such a great achievement in my life so far.
