If you're planning a spring clear out this weekend and thinking of sorting out all of those books you no longer read then why not consider donating to our second-hand bookshop?

We are short on books so if you've got any that are in good, clean condition then please drop them off during our opening hours of 10:30am - 4pm daily.

Every book sold helps to raise vital funds to look after Lavenham Guildhall for everyone, forever.

The Woad in our dye garden is in full bloom and looking fabulous. You’d be forgiven for thinking that the colour from this plant would be yellow based on the flowers but in fact the dye comes the leaves and is blue!

This plant is responsible for the colour of Lavenham’s “blew” cloth which was a highly prized woollen cloth produced here in Lavenham during the 15th and 16th centuries.

You can find out more about this historic past, and more with a visit to the Guildhall. Head to the comments to find out more 👇
