As usual just the 1 photo!! They did have fillet of beef, celeriac dauphinois, petit pois à la Francis, rainbow carrots and béarnaise before the lemon soufflé!!! Thank you Cornvale Foods for the delicious beef.

Not the best photo I know but tonight was all about curry. Butter chicken recipe from Lorna Wing Cookery and it’s the best butter chicken ever!! They also had delicious dhal, saag aloo, rice, onion bhajis (a labour of love) naans and for the vegetarians a chickpea, green bean and roast cauliflower curry.

Lunch in Lancaster today, smoked salmon Mille-feuille and delicious lamb from Cornvale Foods with ratatouille and blackcurrant crème brûlée for pudding. Excellent flowers done by Mr Flowers

There are ovens and then there are ovens!
The first picture is a wonderful shoot where I have been doing shoot lunch’s for 16 years 🫣She’s a bit temperamental but with a little love she does the job! The second picture, well a space ship in comparison!
Lunch with oven 1 was slow roasted salt marsh lamb shepherds pie and bread and butter for pudding. Dinner with the space ship was rack of lamb and Panna cotta and blackcurrant coulis!!

Tess didn’t but I’m sure she would!! What a wonderful wedding WeddingBarn/LakeDistrict on Saturday. They had more than Yorkie Puds and a starter to eat but as per usual my phone was in my pocket!! Who remembers those lockdown takeaways? Well, the Hot Pot Tart is making a comeback to raise some funds for St. Peter’s Church, Quernmore. So if you’d like a Hot Pot Tart made with Cumbrian Mutton accompanied with minted mushy peas, pickled beetroot and red cabbage and yes there will be a vegetarian option please get in touch. The date, 4th October, collect from St. Peter’s Church from 11am- 12 noon, the cost, £15.00 per person. All you have to do is heat, eat and enjoy!
