We’re not competing but we are open!! 8.30-4.30 serving…

⭐ boxes of mini cupcakes
⭐ Bed Race cupcakes (only £1!)
⭐ specialty coffee (iced or hot) and other hot and iced drinks
⭐ selection of cold drinks
⭐ milkshakes and smoothies
⭐ bed race meal deal (sandwich, crisps or cupcake and a cold drink)
⭐ toasties and soup
⭐ scones and pastries

To keep things running smoothly, everything will be served in takeaway cups/bags but you’re welcome to sit in or takeaway.

Hello all,
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to Knaresborough this Saturday.
🤩 We hope you'll take the time to appreciate our beautiful town and spend some of your hard-earned cash in our local businesses. We have so much going on and so many fantastic independent businesses that help make Knaresborough the place it is.

🛍️ Bed Race Day does mean some shops will close for all or part of the day, and we really appreciate what that means for small businesses.
So we're asking you to say thank you to them for us by:
☕ Spending your money in one of our fabulous cafés on some great coffee, tea and really tasty food.
🥪 Enjoying sandwiches, salads, fish and chips, burgers and all the other delicious things our town has to offer.
🍻Grabbing a pint or a drink in one of our lovely (and occasionally prize-winning) pubs.
🛍️ And for Knaresborians – taking a little more time to drop into town and do your shopping locally. We have so many great shops selling food, clothing, gifts, cards, music and cakes. (These don't count as food – they need a section all of their own because the ones in town taste sooo good!)

The theme for this year’s Knaresborough Bed Race is the 60s, so it had to be a flavour that’s traditional and nostalgic — rhubarb and custard.

It took a while to get this recipe just right, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. You’ll be wanting more than one of these!

A soft rhubarb sponge, topped with a silky custard rose and finished with an edible Knaresborough Bed Race wafer.
